ROOSEVELT HIGH SCHOOL NAMED ONE OF BEST HIGH SCHOOLS IN AMERICA BY U.S. NEWS AND WORLD REPORT

Roosevelt High School was named one of the best schools in America U.S. News and World Report.  Schools were selected based on a three-step process.  The first two steps used state proficiency standards as a benchmark to evaluate if all students were being served well.  The third step was based on how well schools prepare students for college.

Economic disadvantaged and minority student percentages also were taken into account.

According to an article written in the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Roosevelt Superintendent Berhl Robertson said the school works hard to ensure all students get a quality education.  Robertson went on to say that Roosevelt has a diverse student body made up of economically disadvantaged students and ethics makeup, who step up to meet the challenges the school present to them.

Roosevelt is a member of the South Plains Closing the Gaps P-20 Council, which is charged by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board to create and maintain a college-going culture in our region.  Congratulations to Roosevelt High School!!!
