Nature Trail
Started in 1982, the Llano Estacado Audubon society’s nature trails at Buffalo Springs Lake offer fifty-five acres of breathtaking natural beauty. Cut from the Caprock by the legendary Brazos river, the Yellowhouse Canyon that houses our lake is home to hundreds of different species of wilflife, including those pictured above.
The bird species alone offer the ability to spend endless days birdwatching, while the butterflies, deer, foxes, squirrels, and rabbits offer fun for the entire family.
All out nature trails are free with your price of admission to the lake!
We also offer a special group rate for school of $10 per class!
